Fish Farm
Fish Feed Factory

Our Farm and our beginning.

The world food shortage is growing, and farmed fish is one of the best sources of protein to help close the food gap.

For example, in Kenya, there is a shortage of over 400,000 tons of fish annually.

In East Africa, the shortage is in millions of tons annually, and worldwide the shortage is in hundreds of millions of tons.

On top of that, the freshwater fish population has declined by over 76% in the past 50 years - nationalgeographic.com Report

Fish farming is one of the solutions to the food shortage and can supply the needs of a significant percentage of the population. Aquaculture - WWF Seafood Sustainability

With the knowledge base coming from Israel, there is an opportunity to develop a freshwater fish farm and a food factory in East Africa on Lake Victoria.

MIG was established in Jan. 2022 as a Ugandan-registered company and acquired a license to grow fish in Lake Victoria.

MIG proudly supports the local people and villages.

Our Factory and our beginning

When MIG started our fish farm we imported feed. One can import feed to Uganda from many places including Israel, Egypt, Mauritania, Brazil etc.

With the increase in transportation cost around the COVID and the war in Ukraine, importing became cost prohibitive. As a consequence, we expedited the decision to build our own local high-quality feed factory.

We are currently producing 2,3 and 4 gr pallets of 30% and 35% protein.

Our pallet recipes are designed and optimized based on the best raw materials by a world renowned nutritionist.
